There are places in my country where the fairies still dance at night ready to charm the late traveler. Here the forest bears magic on the branches of the trees. You can hear them whisper, telling you stories of a hidden world, singing softly with the springs… the earth smells like rain and the waterfalls chase your dreams. Misty hollows hide solitary chalets where dreams chase other dreams and mysteries chase magic never imagined.

These places have ladders that take you high up to worlds imagined in the eyes of little children. Seven ladders… a magic number to take you to a magic place. Let’s call that place Forever and Ever, because once you climb the ladders you are the main character in a fairytale. Beauty surrounds you, the creek whispers with sweet voices of elves and fairies. From now… let your heart be your guide…

I used to walk on the paths leading to the waterfall; I used to listen to the whispers of the trees… I used to understand their stories. I felt their pain and I was ready to embrace their hopes and to let my soul carried far, far away… in that magic world of the “iele”, even be one of them… for at The Seven Ladders Canyon the sky is near and you can build castles in the air.

The canyon is not far from Brasov and it used to be one of my favorite weekend destinations. Now I can only dream about it and lead you there. Take your camera to capture magic essence of the forest. If you are a poet, leave your dreams behind. Empty your mind, for you will find other dreams, pure and divine. As an artist… don’t expect to find each day the same sceneries. Seven Ladders is alive: always changing, always bringing you a new wonder on the way.

If magic is not what makes you tick, maybe knowing that the Seven Ladders (sometimes traslated as “Seven Stairs – an ad-literam of the Romanian Sapte Scari) waterfall is the second in Europe as length with a level difference of cca. 120 m. The name Seven Ladders comes from the seven consecutive waterfalls that form this amazing structure.
